Maximizing Your QE Factor: How Are You Living?

Lately, we’ve been exploring what it means to have a high “QE factor,” or your potential to be exceptional, and we have explored the first two conditions you should cultivate in order to increase your own QE factor.

Now that you’ve examined where you are, and who you are with, you can start to think about how you are living. Developing the right quality of life is the third distinct condition you can cultivate to increase your QE factor.

Quality of Life. There was a time in my life when I felt the need to keep up with the Joneses. I wanted to have super nice things I couldn’t afford to impress other people who didn’t give a rip about me.

One day, I woke up and realized that designer labels didn’t make the man; I made the designer things look better on me. My self-concept was warped into believing somehow I was better because of a label. How shallow is that thinking?

Now, don’t get me wrong. I like nice things and appreciate the first-class lifestyle. However, I submit to you that if your entire ethos is to be rich, famous, and live in “Blingville,” you are in for a rude awakening.

There is nothing wrong with wanting the best of the best. Just realize that your value is worth so much more than things. Some people have the quantity of things but lack a quality life.

I am not here to tell you whether or not you are living a life of quality. Only you can determine what that looks like for you. I simply want to introduce you to the realization that you are worth so much more.

The Three Conditions

There you have it, O’Brilliant One! The third and final distinct condition you can cultivate to elevate your QE factor. You are qualified to be exceptional, so be sure not to disqualify yourself from everything that is yours by living in less than optimal conditions. To maximize your QE factor, remember to examine and elevate these three areas of your life:

  • Quality Environment

  • Quality Relationships

  • Quality of Life

While these three conditions may seem simple, they are not easy to execute. However, exceptional individuals--like Boity Thulo, Trevor Stuurman, and Thabang Moleya--pay close attention to these key areas of their lives, and they have each experienced brilliant results.

I submit to you, O’Brilliant One, that your QE factor is high—you are qualified to be exceptional! However, we can all continue to cultivate our QE factors each and every day in order to stay ahead of the curve and maintain our Brilliance.
